I’m a huge fan of Reddit, but given their poor oversight lately in an attempt to make a profit and go “mainstream”, I feel they are shamefully abusing the very community that makes it great. I believe that the solution to this is a social network that isn’t owned by a greedy corporation but by the public, for the betterment of the community and to help spread knowledge and information. Therefore I am in the process of developing a better kind of Reddit which will be organized as a non-profit. We will always err on the side of freedom of speech and the only censorship will be that which is mandated by law. We will also value our users. There will be no insidious shadow bans. The users will be our first priority. Please join me in realizing this dream by signing up for updates below. You will be notified when the beta launches and be given an opportunity to participate before its full public release.
Feel free to tweet at me if you’re interested in learning more about the project.
